Window Blinds Store

A blind keeps the daylight without letting the whole street see in: the same window gives a clear view, a filtered glow, privacy, or a room shut dark. Drapesy carries the leading makers, Hunter Douglas and D'Decor, across sheer shadings, cellular, Venetian, roller, Roman, and vertical blinds, plus outdoor designs. Try a few at our Delhi NCR blinds showroom, where the right type for a window settles fast with the options in front of you.

DEFINING YOUR AMBIENCE

The blind you choose shapes the light and the feel of a room. Sheer shadings such as Silhouette filter daylight while keeping a view; cellular shades such as Duette trap air to insulate and quieten a room; Venetian and roller blinds give firm, adjustable control; Roman and fabric blinds fall softer, more like a curtain. For a bedroom, a blackout or room-darkening fabric holds out the light; for a living room, a sheer or a light-filtering weave keeps it soft. We settle the type, the fabric, and the opacity around how the room is used, then measure and fit each blind.

FUNCTIONALITY AND OPERATION

How a blind runs matters as much as how it looks. Corded, cordless, and wand controls each suit a different window, and motorised systems such as Hunter Douglas PowerView run a blind from a remote, an app, or a set schedule, which helps on large windows and improves child safety. Because blinds are made to measure, a proper survey and fit make the difference between one that runs smoothly and one that does not. Drapesy surveys the window, advises on fabric and control, and installs each blind.

FAQs

How should I keep fabric blinds clean?

Most fabric blinds need only regular dusting or a soft-brush vacuum to stay fresh. For marks, spot-clean gently with a damp cloth and a little mild detergent, and let it dry before raising the blind. Some are removable for a deeper clean; check the maker's care note before you start.

What is the difference between a blackout and a dimout fabric?

A blackout fabric is woven or coated to stop light passing through, so a bedroom goes properly dark. A dim-out fabric reduces light strongly but not completely. Drapesy advises which suits each room, since fit and side gaps also affect how dark it gets.

Are your blinds child-safe?

Yes. Drapesy fits blinds to current child-safety standards, with cord cleats, tensioners, or breakaway fittings where cords are used, and recommends cordless or motorised operation for homes with young children, which removes the loose cord entirely.

Can I fit the blinds myself, or should a professional do it?

Because Drapesy's blinds are made to measure, they are surveyed, supplied, and fitted by Drapesy's own team, so each sits level, runs smoothly, and meets child-safety standards. It also gets the brackets, the drop, and any motorisation set up correctly.

How do I measure for new blinds?

Measure the width and the drop of the window, and decide on an inside or a face fit. An inside fit needs the recess width at top, middle, and bottom, since openings are rarely square. Drapesy prefers to survey and measure the window itself, so the finished blind fits correctly.
